About AFL
About AFL
The competition was formed in 1896 as the Victorian Football League, when six clubs broke away from the Victorian Football Association, and it was renamed the Australian Football League in 1990. It has 18 clubs as of October 2026. The cues and balls on this page carry official AFL club artwork under licence.
What is AFL known for?
For a games room, the AFL licence means club colours and logos on the cue and the balls. The cues are standard 2-piece cues and the ball sets are standard pool sets, so they play like any other set; the difference is the club design.
Which AFL range suits you?
Cues. The AFL Teams 2-Piece Ash Cue comes in club designs and splits in the middle for carrying. The AFL Teams 2-Piece Kids Flash Cue is the kids' version.
Pool ball sets. The AFL Teams Pool Ball Set puts club logos on a set of pool balls. The AFL Kelly Pool Ball Set, Shaker & Marbles adds what you need for a game of Kelly pool.
Individual balls. Individual AFL Pool Balls replace a lost or damaged ball, or let you add a club to a set.
